Sweet Tea, Fried Chicken, Porch Doors Slammin.....

Growing up Southern is a privilege, really. It’s more than where you’re born, it’s an idea and state of mind that seems imparted at birth. Its more than loving fried chicken, sweet tea, football, beer, bourbon and country music. It’s being hospitable, devoted to front porches, magnolias, moon pies and coca-cola, and each other. We don’t become Southern, we’re born that way.” -Anonymous

Welcome to my blog! Thanks for stopping by!
I'm a southern girl, raised in Charleston, SC then moved to the beautiful Coastal Georgia Island, St. Simons.  I have 4 amazing adult children, 2 sons in law, 1 daughter in law and waiting on my first grandbaby to be here July 14th.  My kids are my heart.  I love to bake, self taught after many many hours of research and trial and error.  I hope you enjoy these recipes and hints and bakers secrets.
And by the way.....I do say things like ya'll and bless her heart so bear with me, it's just....a southern thing
